Not one for the feint hearted, this includes Ireland’s 3rd hardest climb. And some stunning views across the Atlantic Ocean from atop the Bluestack mountains. You can look out through the valley to Ardara from the famous Glengesh viewing point. Travel across the top of the mountains to Granny and enjoy the views across the bay before a wonderful descent. Stop at Maghera Beach and if its low tide, you can explore the many caves. Watch the tide though, it comes in quick! A short way on is the Assaranca Waterfall, which is spectacular after rainfall. Back into Ardara and over the scenic Tullies back to base. You’ll know you’ve had a bike ride! The secret to climbing Glengesh – and being able to boast about it afterwards – is to take it easy till you reach the monument.
