A leisurely 8km cycle around the Inch Island Wildfowl Reserve. You will cross the causeways to the island as you go round the reserve. Look out for geese, ducks who use these wetlands to winter or for gulls, terns and waders, resident all year, but using the protected areas for breeding. If you’re feeling adventurous on the bike, cross the road at Burt and take the 4km climb up the hill to the 4,000 year old Grianán of Aileach fort. It’s a steep climb up there but you are rewarded with views across Lough Swilly and Inch Island.
